Dearest Mother,

Just a few lines letting you know that I'm O.K. and in the best of health and hoping that all at home are the same.

I'm still in the hospital mother, only I just came to this one a few days ago by plane. I'm even further from the front lines than before. I don't think I'll see any more action mother when my arm gets better.

My arm is almost better now so I guess I'll be leaving this hospital soon. Don't worry about anything mother because I'll be O.K. and safe.

Mother my address is changed to 2628th hospital Sec. APO 698 till I get to a permanent outfit, so until you hear different mother, use that address.

This hospital is in Naples and even nicer than the one I left. The food is swell and we get plenty to eat.

Well mother I guess this is all for now so I'll close with lots of love to you mother dear, daddy and the kids.

   Your loving Son,

"Jimmy"
