Joe Misitano

Joe continued to serve in the Army, fighting in the 345 Engineering Corps up the Italian peninsula until the end of the war. He was discharged from the Army on December 12th, 1945.

He married Ella Joan Meek on June 24, 1948 in Altoona. He had two sons, and moved his family to California in the early 1950's, where Joe owned and operated a pizza restaurant ("The Pizza Man"), and for a time was a prominent supporter of the Los Angeles Mayor.
