background and some grassy areas and trees in the lower half.

eighty four, the monument stands five hundred fifty five feet tall, has an observation
area at the top, and both an elevator and stair way to reach it.

of the column faces the camera, with one side in full sunlight and one side in shadow.

There is a slight difference in the color of the stone starting about one third way from
the bottom, being a little darker above and lighter below. This is very subtle, but can
