Dearest Mother,
Just a few lines letting you know that I'm coming along O.K. and hoping that all at home are
in good health.
Well mother, I'm gradually getting used to sleeping on a soft bed with sheets again. It's really
O.K. just laying around all day, not having nothing to do except eat and sleep.
Mother, please don't worry about me because I'm really O.K. in fact, mother, I think that the
Jerries did me a favor because I'm living the life of a king. My arm is still bandaged up, but
it doesn't bother me any.
Well mother, I guess this is all for now so I'll close with lots of love to you mother dear, daddy
and the kids.
Your loving Son,
"Jimmy"
